At Christopher House, our team is the heart of everything we do. Many of our employees have been part of the Christopher House family for more than 15 years — a reflection of the supportive culture, meaningful relationships, and compassionate care that define our community.

From skilled nurses and therapists to caregivers and support staff, every member of our team is dedicated to helping residents feel safe, respected, comfortable, and truly cared for. Their compassion and commitment are what make Christopher House feel more like family than a healthcare facility.

We are also proud to be recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a 2025 Best Nursing Home for both Long-Term Care and Short-Term Rehabilitation — a distinction earned by fewer than 19% of nursing homes nationwide.

Thomas Sullivan

Administrator

Thomas Sullivan has been a licensed nursing home administrator for over 30 years. As a third-generation administrator, Thomas is proud to honor the memories of his mother and grandfather who help mold his work ethic and values. He has and always will think of the residents, families, and employees first. Both of his parents have been nursing home residents, and he had the honor to have his staff care for his grandfather until his passing. So, he knows first-hand what the families that he serves go through on a daily basis.

Maria Theresa (Tess) Villegas, BSN, RN

Director of Nursing

Tess graduated from Centro Escolar University in the Philippines as a BSN, and worked in various positions in acute care organizations, before coming to the United States, and Christopher House in 2009. More recently she worked as the Evening Shift Supervisor and Assistant Director of Nursing before becoming the Director of Nursing.

Chidimma Okoli, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Chidimma Okoli is an internist in Worcester, Massachusetts who specializes in geriatric medicine. She is affiliated with UMass Memorial Medical Center. She received her medical degree from University of Nigeria Faculty of Medicine in 2004.

Bassem Hanna, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Bassem G. Hanna is a family medicine doctor with a practice in West Boylston, Massachusetts. He is affiliated with UMass Memorial Medical Center. He received his medical degree from Cairo University School of Medicine in 1993.

Laura Gould, RPT

Director of Rehabilitation

Laura received her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 1996 from Simmons College. She then worked for ten years at Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital, in both inpatient and outpatient departments, attaining a Level III Clinician status. At Fairlawn Rehab, Laura became Neurodevelopmental treatment certified, worked extensively in the Seating and Positioning Clinic and assisted with instituting the multi-discipline Spasticity Clinic. Laura joined the Christopher House team in 2006 as a per diem PT and gradually worked into a full time position. Laura was promoted to the position as Director of Rehabilitation Services in November of 2022.
