Life at Christopher House: Creating Moments That Feel Like Home

Residents, families, and staff enjoying a summer cookout together at Christopher House in Worcester, Massachusetts. At Christopher House, resident life is about more than care — it is about connection, community, and creating meaningful moments that bring joy to everyday life.

Throughout the year, residents, families, staff, and volunteers come together to enjoy activities and events that make Christopher House feel warm, welcoming, and full of life. From seasonal celebrations to outdoor gatherings, these moments help foster friendships, laughter, and a true sense of belonging.

This spring has already brought many special memories for residents and staff alike. On May 18, Brookside was filled with joy, smiles, and heartwarming moments as residents visited with farm animals from New England Party Animals. The simple experience of connecting with the animals created laughter, comfort, and meaningful interaction throughout the day.

Earlier in May, residents and volunteers gathered to celebrate the spirit of the upcoming Kentucky Derby with horse-racing festivities and a friendly game of cribbage. These activities continue to bring residents together through shared experiences, conversation, and fun.

This summer, Christopher House is excited to continue one of its favorite traditions with a series of outdoor cookouts held in the Front Circle. Residents, families, and staff will enjoy great food, music, conversation, and time together outdoors during the beautiful summer months.
